Si Bochenski captained the Royal Marines to back to back Inter Commands Victories 2005 & 2006.



Simon Bochenski 2003 Quantico USA

Simon Bochenski was born in Worksop in 1975 and in 1994 he started as a trainee at Barnsley FC and made 1 league and 1 cup appearance. In 1996 he was sent out on loan to Scarborough FC for 3 months before the transfer was made permanent. Despite Scarborough reaching the third division play-offs in 1998 they were eventually relegated from the football league in 1999 Click here for Si Bochenski Scarborough stats. Fellow Corps player Graeme Carr was also at Scarborough FC during the same time and when Scarborough were relegated Simon went to Gateshead FC whilst Graeme went to Workington FC. Simon also played for Slough, Hampton & Richmond and Matlock before joining the Royal Marines in 2000. You could say he his a footballing journeyman as at present he has played for no less than 24 clubs (See all 24 clubs below). At present (2008) Simon is playing for Tiverton Town FC in the British Gas Southern Premier League. Since Joining the Royal Marines in 2000 he has played for Chessington & Hook in 2003/04 and the Met Police in 2004/05 and more recently he has played for a host of clubs in the South West which include Budleigh Salterton, Launceston Fc, Sidmouth Town & Collumpton Rangers were he was player of the year 2006/07 season.
He made his Royal Marines football debut in 2002 against the National Prison Service after being recomended to RMFA manager Shaun Foster by the 45Cdo RM (Arbroath) manager Ian Clark. Since then (up to Jan 2008) he has played 39 games and scored 22 goals including 5 against Sidmouth Town in 2005. That same season he was crowned the Royal Marines Footballer of the year and also Captained them to back to back Inter Commands championships in 2005 & 2006.

Closing Quote - If you change clubs as often as Johnny Byrne changes his underpants you would eventually go stale, that is why I have stayed fresh by changing clubs 24 times to date (Jan 2008)
 
Coaches comment - Simon Bochenski in my opinion is the most Technically gifted player that I have had at my disposal since taking over from Paul Curry as manger in 1999, however he can't take a penalty better than me.
